Hi everyone,
I have been looking (mainly on Amazon.co.uk) for a VR ready laptop for the Oculus Rift, or the HTC Vive. However, I have absolutely no knowledge of computers, (even though I have had a desktop for 15 years) so dont understand any of the Jargon. I have been looking since the Rift came out, but just do not understand what im looking at? I have looked at loads of MSI models, as well as Alienware. There is a big price range between models. Ideally, I dont really want to spend much more than £1500. Less, preferably. However, the differing specs are confusing. I would rather pay more If a few hundred pounds makes a big difference. Also, someone told me that some are not really as 'VR Ready' as they say. So, even more confused? Can anyone recommend one?
I also need it for Itunes, but none seem to have disc drives in them. Is there a way around that, or are all my CD's redundant now as far as Laptops go?
Cheers

With your limited budget, there's probably not much available to you.

However the lack of of an integral optical drive shouldn't be a problem as far as iTunes is concerned. You can simply plug in an external drive (available for around a tenner online) and use that to rip your CDs into iTunes.
you sure you want to drop all that cash now? There isn't that much out for it that excites me. :0

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. Been ill and forgot. Thanks for your advice. May wait to see if they come down in price. One thing that puts me off, is that every single laptop on Amazon (regardless of price) seems to have a few bad reviews. The thing im looking forward to most on the 'Rift' is the 'VR Cinema'.
