As we don't know their names or addresses that is an impossible question to answer.

But yes, our security forces are brilliant
Yes, well done our security forces.
I don't live in the West Midlands...

If you don't know of them, then it is obviously I am not aiming my question at you, more to any ABers who happen to live in those areas.
-- answer removed --
I know a lot of Muslims that live in Birmingham but as they are not named I don't know whether they were once peace loving Muslims that have lived in Birmingham for years or have moved in recently
Yes, saw this yesterday - well done to the Security Services.

I don't know them either.

There you go taking it personally again.

Didn't expect you to Birmingham and Stoke are very large areas, just thought that someone might live in close proximity to these potential terrorists.
If any ABer does live in proximity to these potential terrorists, what then?

Well perhaps then they could tell us how quiet, peace loving, friendly and did exceptionally well at school etc etc.

Always nice to hear, since we see so much negativity attached to Muslims on here.
What I do know for a fact is that our security forces are so successful at tackling terrorist threats from ISIS and similar because of the amount and quality of intelligence they receive. The vast majority of this information comes from Muslims.
///Always nice to hear, since we see so much negativity attached to Muslims on here.///

Noooooo!?!
I wonder who is responsible for posting much of that...?
hc - not so,from the link:

However, a number of arrests based on intelligence of suspicion of planning jihadi violence in Britain have led to suspects not being charged and claims that intelligence was flawed.

// Were these men once peace loving Muslims //
Possibly. We don't know anything about them. They may have been radicalised or they may have always had the hatred. We will have to see what emerges.

// living near to you? //

No.
What a stupid question.
If I ever come under suspicion for anything unsavoury, I sincerely hope people will not leap to praising those who initiate investigation until after any guilt is proven, and not just because of my skin colour, cultural leanings and/or absence of religious affiliation. I would also expect all investigation, etc. to be thoroughly conducted, balanced/impartial and commensurate with the suspicion.
Karl - as I posted earlier, there is a failure rate but on this occasion there is a very good chance of conviction it seems. From link:

'It is known to have been visited last year by at least one member of the terror cell that attacked Paris and Brussels.'

I think news of the arrests should be applauded as the Bullring,or elsewhere, could have looked very different tomorrow and mass casualties to boot....
KARL, the very fact that we have had fewer attacks than some other countries, even though we are a major target, proves that our security forces are doing a great job.

Whether these men will be charged remains to be seen they will be treated fairly and properly.
