If Britain had shown the same urgency with our own undesirables, perhaps the referendum vote would have been different.

Ahh Ed has it.
Italy is in breach of Human Rights legislation, but it doesn't care.
It would sooner deport undesirables and pay an hefty fine to the terrorist expelled.
Politically, that would be a no no in the UK.

Perhaps the famous Italian reverse gear is an asset after all aog(^_*)
I doubt it. We'd still remain under external control.
The referendum result may have been different but it should not have been.

Deporting non-EU citizens is nothing to do with the EU. In the UK they usually launch their claim to remain under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Final appeals under the ECHR are held in the European Court of Human Rights. Neither the convention nor the court have anything to do with the EU.
I recall the French kicked out some Algerian/Moroccan relatives of terrorists who attacked two members of the Legion E'strange whilst out walking in the street a year or so back.
I remember ,then ,thinking to myself,"How come........"
I came to the conclusion,"Oh well that's France for you. Bon Chance" :-)
On a similar subject, when is the preacher Chowdrey (spelling) up in court again, or has he been locked away already?

Thank you for your explanation Judge.

I don't suppose a lot of people knew that, judging by all the accusations levelled at the EU for interfering with our legal system.
AOG,
YOU have been told that many times, by New Judge and others.
trt
Choudary is a greasy lawyer who thinks he knows just how far he can push to the limit.I suspect that there is still a load of case law being studied by both sides before a trial date. It has been quiet for some time though. May be we missed something.

No need to shout you should know it is against Site Rules.

But thank you all the same, for reminding me of what I have been told in the past.

As a matter of courtesy though, I must remember to alert you of what you have been told many times in the past.

That is of course, when I have a few hours to spare.
In this country we just bend over and take it.

The HRA is not fit for purpose and needs to be rewritten as soon as possible. No European Court (EU or not) should be telling our sovereign nation what to do.
NJ, is there not some talk in the EU of merging the ECJ and the ECHR ?
As long as I recall the other members of the EU have cocked a snoot and cherry picked what diktats they choose to obey or ignore. Hundreds of regulations that hardly any one in the UK would be aware of yet the UK just accepted them at cost to ourselves whilst ignored by other members.
The BSE crisis. The French refused to accept British Beef for long after it was declared safe and refused to pay the fines imposed. I am not sure if they eventually did.
This is why,as well as many other things, persuaded me to vote Brexit.
We were the mugs who played by their rules all the time.
Our big problem is that we the tax payer fund the spurious claims via legal aid.

It is all aided and abetted by scum ambulance chasing lawyers of course, including Mrs Bliar and her cohorts.
Gromit: "Italy is in breach of Human Rights legislation," - so under our yuman rites obligations the masses must listen to radical hate preachers! right oh!
'Fraid so, 3Ts. This is either because they "face persecution" wherever they might be sent to or to protect their "right to a family life".

I believe I have heard that rumoured, youngmaf. Another reason to exit swiftly, stage left (or right).
