Probably.
It seems that the more often this type of intimidation is left unchallenged, the more emboldened the perpetrators are becoming.
Maybe time for 'allahu akhbar' to be considered hate speech to give the powers that be something to work with.
No, they are in a new country now, they would like those in their new country to abandon their old habits and convert to a better way of life.

You can have that as 'hate speech' if I can have 'Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.'!
Not something we utter in every second sentence andy, but if it keeps you in equilibrium, knock yourself out.
Andy, i'm not aware - in modern times - that the words "praise the lord" have ever been followed by the slishing sound of a machete removing the odd head; are you?

nothing wrong in that

in the other article the German commentator said - our new guests - dont speak German, dont understand German culture and summat else

they also cant swim - and 35 refugees have drowned this year
which is more than the islamists have zeroed with bombs guns and knives this year ( in Germany )

would you go up to a pot bellied naked German and say
You know what towel is for - use it !
I dont think I would ....
Strange how whenever we hear of the requests they make they never to my knowledge ask to be re-settled in a muslim country...
Someone is going to pick on the wrong nudist and it will all head south really quickly.

The radio programme PM featured a long interview with a surgeon who goes to Syria to try to help the injured there. I can see why people want out. But when you find a safe haven it's a bit much to wish to impose your standards on your hosts.

No. They'd still be miserable aggressive bigots, but at least they'd be somewhere else.
Lol @ Ludwig. Twice.

//I have experienced and commented on many times the simple fact that irony does not travel well in printed communication - especially if used by someone who does not tend to use it often enough to be a recognised character trait.

It can, as you advise, be better left alone, and posters sticking to what they mean, unless they can make their irony un-missable, which can be done, but then becomes a bit clunky, and thus removes the point.//

Perhaps your irony as well as your humour be best left out of your posts. :-)

Yes.
It has often been suggested that Saudi Arabia has been less than accommodating to their own Arab people who enjoy similar religion, culture, language, climate. Saudi has pots of money and more importantly.... Space....!

Could it be that the Saudis are aware of some peril or likely problems by showing these refugees the hand of compassion?
