While we're all enjoying EU referendums, why not start a trend?

I think it'll be the French
Question Author
Interesting, why?

Maybe we can start again? I don't think anyone minds a union of northern european states? :)
think the French have had quite a bellyful of immigrants and the resulting chaos...might be next !
Is this the start of the collapse of the whole rotten shambles ? Surely in the EU someone has the gumption to realise that people have had enough of control from Brussels & therefore if they wish to keep it going there should be a complete re-design of the EU from within.
He's got the barnet for it anyway!

I agree with 237, the firesides are heavily into the CAP, the 2nd highest area of expense in the EU. Without the UK they'll have no one to fork out for French farmers with 2 ducks farming a postage stamp so they'll have to use their own dosh to stop the farmers filling Paris with Tractors. QED
Scots next
I've never understood the Scotts position, they want to leave the UK but still want to be in the EU. How does that work?
They don't want to be part of the SE of England?

It is a fairly popular stance in the North.
well the North didn't show it last yesterday Randy, I'm eternally grateful to them.
It could well be the French, imo.
Yep, they made the difference.
Nicola Fishface does NOT speak for the whole of Scotland, just another one with delusions of grandeur.
^^^ Marine Le Pen has become very strong..
If more countries come out, what is going to happen to all those migrants who are in Europe?
The ex-Warsaw pact (EU enlargement) countries should have got together into a separate 'club' and worked their way to prosperity before 'promotion' to the EU. They were not in the same league as us and we've "brain-drained" their best talented, hardest workers, leaving their at-home popultations even less likely to catch up with us, other than by milking EU net contributors, like us.

EU fed our resentment for it as an institution by sponging off us and taking the "oh, you can afford it, old chum" attitude.

Some of us were hoping the UK could do that. Not with this limp government, but maybe a future one.
Question Author
Yes, there's only so much good will to burn.
They can't see it, but we've done the EU a huge favour by giving them a chance to explore what they are doing and mend things.
