that may have been true in 2013 when that was published - anyone know if it still is?

Its lovely here on our beaches in South Wales, and it was even lovelier in Cornwall at Easter, but as that isn't the London-centric South East, I don't suppose its matters.
Anyone seen the Benefits Britain programmes about Jaywick? That's at the seaside and isn't very nice at all, apparently it is the most deprived part of Britain. From what is shown on the tv the vast majority of residents are white English.

Sadly some of our seasides have been in decline for decades.

Ah, I thought that the WHITE ENGLISH would come up for criticism by the English hating migrant apologists.

You wait until the 'landing barges' start landing on those beaches mikey, and then there won't even be a Christian event called Easter.
I don't hate the English, aog, what the hell are you on about?

It is a fact that our seasides have been in decline for decades and many hotels and guest houses converted to accommodation for social security claimants.

I love Wales, too, but some of the Welsh seaside resorts are also dilapidated and very run down - and have been for the past 20 years or so.
Anyone pitching their tent on the Beach in Blackpool is going to find their belongings floating across the Irish Sea twice a day....
Try it and Brean and get sucked in to the mud flats :D
Stop with the anti English botox.

Then why take the opportunity to criticise them?

/// It is a fact that our seasides have been in decline for decades and many hotels and guest houses converted to accommodation for social security claimants. ///

There you go again, I presume you are criticising those English who are deprived, rather than the Migrants that have been accommodated in some hotels and guest houses?

ummmm

Who do you think you are to dish out your orders? Mind your own business.
AOG - You leap on every opportunity to moan about this Country, but I'm sure you'll tell us that you are simply 'saying it how you see it'.

So are others with a different POV; if they are traitors, or Anti-English, then so are you!
This is an open forum, AOG!!!
Britain's seasides have been in decline since the start of the package holiday (in the 70's? maybe 80's? not sure which decade)

AOG, I think you're becoming ruder every day - and that takes some doing!
AOG, I'll try again. I LOVE a traditional seaside holiday in Britain and spend my holidays in Pembrokeshire around Broad Haven or Fishguard; in two weeks I am going to Norfolk at Hunstanton and earlier this year I spent a few days in Weston Super Mare. I mourn the decline of the British seaside but I don't blame the immigrants for it.

I can't blame the landlords in the rundown seaside towns for getting an income where they can.

I do not criticise the English but I do recognise that there are good and bad in every community. In fact you highlighted an English monster yourself in another post - a baby killer. That doesn't make you anti-English but apparently you can label me for pointing out that not all ghettos are inhabited by immigrants.
I don't understand why somewhere would be 'nice' just because there's salty water sloshing about.
If towns are filled with, say, Romanians, is it any wonder that the place ends up looking like the midden they left behind?
Have a look at Jaywick, douglas, it's fascinating. Once a thriving holiday resort it is now some sort of shanty town. Of course there is no work there so it is mainly inhabited by those unfit to work due to ill health or drink and drugs.
It has a beautiful, long sandy beach and could be a great place to live.

Haven't noticed it down in Poole... ( Although I am blighted by Harry's Footballs coming over the fence )
Didn't need any immigrants to make a ghetto out of Jaywick!
100% home grown!
