No, no cyclist or any vehicle under 50cc are allowed on the Motorways, what made this person think he could use the motorway?
Unfortunately cyclists trying to cycle along a motorway is not uncommon.
It only makes the news when one is killed or injured. There was another case last week where a cyclist was found riding along the motorway, in the wrong direction as well!
Unfortunately it is impossible to stop people breaking the law, even whan a law is there for their own safety.

Sad case, isn't the first, wot be the last.
What on earth was he doing on the motorway on a bike?
Morning Boaty, I have seen people praying on the Hard Shoulder, having a Picnic's on the hard Shoulder, nothing surprises me nowadays.
Morning TWR. Yes. me too, but that was when they wee new! I've used the M3 many times, it's a very busy road.
That last idiot was a Tyre Fitter, it was near Northampton MI North, he had parked his van ON THE INSIDE lane as he changed a Off / Side Front wheel of an Artic, the clown should have called the police.
Yep.. once saw a pair of PJs over the hard shoulder...what happened to the contents is still a missed story...
Mush...i saw this early this morning and I was surprised as well.

I sometimes drive 25,000 miles a year, and I can honestly say that I have never seen a cyclist on a Motorway before. Tragic and entirely avoidable loss of life here.
I'm a keen cyclist but at the risk of sounding harsh I'm afraid this death can be attributed to one major factor: utter stupidity.
