I have a friend who is driving all the way from pittsburgh to georgia to see me. On one of those days that he is here he wants to take a day trip with me to atlanta to see the coca cola factory but he doesn't want me to bring my best friend steven along. I was ok with the plan at first until I talked to my counselor and she told me that what I am doing is betraying steven. She says I am gonna cause tension with steven by doing this. I am frustrated and I don't know what to do. Is it really betrayal if I don't bring steven along ?

You are allowed to have days out with other friends. It wouldn't be betrayal to Steven, but it's a bit rude of your other friend to insist that he isn't included.
Best friend or intimate partner ?

Seems to me in either case you could take a trip without necessarily bringing the other. You have separate lives, not joined at the hip. But in the former case I don't think you have to even say anything. If your friend is that needy there is something wrong. In the latter case you may wish to inform your partner first so they are aware nothing untoward is going on.

What are you going to a councillor for anyway ? Is there something we should have known before answering your question ?
Have you already asked Stephen? If not it's not a problem. If you have then it's a bit rude to tell him not to come but not a massive betrayal.
It's in no way a betrayal, your friend just wants to spend a bit of time on his own with you, nothing wrong with that, maybe would like to talk about things to just you and not Steven. Are they friends? Seems a bit strange to me that your counsellor would've even suggest such a thing.
You are getting your knickers in a twist, aren't you? Why do you need a counsellor? Tell Steven the honest truth, if he asks. Just that you are going on a day out with another friend. Unless there is some romance element involved that should be it. No betrayal involved, you don't belong to Steven do you? Haven't sworn to never go anywhere but with him? At my guess, you are in your mid-teens and tackling these issues for the first time.
Doesn't look like he's coming back, too busy posting this on all the other sites and getting as many different views as possible to confuse him further.

J - "why do you need a Councilor?" He's American, doesn't everyone have one over there?
I have loads of councillors ......Town Council and Borough Council. There are too many to name.

I agree with
"what kind of freaking counsellor is this ? ..... "

Lee is obviously gonna be a busy girl
as on Yahoo
it is Philly to Georgia

perhaps she has anonymised it as she is planning not to ask Stephen and doesnt want him to know where she is if he looks on the internet.

as President Obama who is in England on a visit might say:

i'm gonna butt out on this ....
:o))
Be nice if Obama said that PP ;o)

I am just trying to get help for this issue. the idiots on the yahoo site are idiots who are always harassing me and framing me for stuff. I wasn't on here all day today because i was out visiting my sister at college, i am not glued to the computer 24/7
