Thank god they didn't do that in any city in the U.S. We would all be nuked by now. :-(
A little reckless given our high alert status.
A good idea if the scene was being filmed for an action thriller. A terrible idea if it were being filmed for a Jane Austen adaptation.

Despite the threat of terrorist attacks, life (and that includes filming in the capital) must go on.
That may be everyday life in Aleppo going on but unless a gas main goes up in Central London it usually means a malevolent act from our enemies overseas again so a warning would be helpful. Even PIRA, latterly ,remembered to give the occasional warning.

I agree with Zacs and retro (as well as author Sophie Kinsella from the link).
Considering they built a French village with bridge,canal panzer tanks,estaminets, houses on a set in Elstree Studios and all the cacophony of war (Bloody loud bangs) in Saving Ryan's Privates I would of thought they could just blow up a bus in a studio back lot with out disruption or alarm !
Isn't this identical in appearance to the real tragedy involving a London bus some time ago - a bit inconsiderate of the production team I would have thought.
