Seem they may have the killer, we can but hope.

What I can't understand about the way the family of this murdered police officer have chosen to deal with their grief?

everyone deals with grief in their own way. I don't think it should normally be a subject for comment?
They seem to be paying tribute to him. Not sure why you object.
How do you think they should behave?
Talking about Daddy can be wonderfully therapeutic for children - better than withdrawing in grief.

Does make my heart ache for them all though.

Wait for DNA analysis, Bazile. There's still hope. :-P

Their loss, their grief, don't think anyone has the right to query/criticise how they deal with it.
What aspects are you curious about AOG?
Right from the start i knew the culprit would be a white skinhead type - which I suppose is equally judgemental.
crikey - he's not black - is that based on his name Bazile?
Not making a judgement just curious
I had a friend once who's son was called Wesley - I was surprised when I met him as the only Wesley's I had heard of at the time were of African heritage
A video memoir PC Philips seems to be entirely appropriate.

Perhaps it shouldn't be viewed as them dealing with their grief, but instead, celebrating his life?
Roc.ror

Probably based on the picture of him in the link to the Daily Mail report.
Sorry I thought Baz had made a conclusion about the scumbag on the basis of his name - its a simple mistake - as I said I have done it myself on occasions
AOG I can understand your comment as I felt the same way. Very wrong in my opinion to subject the children to public exposure , however, these days it seems to be the norm to play out your grief in public.
I am tending to agree with Retrochic here.

Everybody has to manage their grief in their own way, but parading young children in public, who have lost their Daddy, seems a very insensitive way of doing it.
Savage!
let's see if he's still grinning when he's big Ron's "special friend".

Not said anywhere that I object, just can't understand the way they have chosen to grieve.

/// How do you think they should behave? ///

It is not my place to say or even suggest how they themselves behave.

But speaking from my own personal view, I myself would not care to attend press conferences, and present myself to be filmed in my grief, but I repeat that is just me.

From the photograph he seems of mixed race parentage.
A close family friend said when they visited the place he died to place flowers, that the wife wanted people to see how crime affects family's.
