A puff piece to sell his autobiography.

As a non-viewer of Eggheads, I have only a fleeting acquaintance with the gentleman, but he does not come over well - seeming to rather supercilious and pompous in his attitude.

His other puff piece - the notion that he was discriminated against by the BBC for asking for a male partner in their dance show is also roundly trounced. It appears he was not approached, rather his agent approached the BBC, and they declined.

CJ also hasn't done his research. Same sex ballroom dancing differs in some small but important ways from mixed sex ballroom dancing and it would be difficult if not impossible to judge one against the other. In same sex ballroom dancing the lead switches between the partners and both partners have to take both roles in the lifts and other strenuous moves. This means that there needs to be approximate equality in height and build. Contestants are judged on the smoothness and way in which the lead is exchanged and how both partners lift and are lifted. Its very interesting to watch (loads on youtube).

News is becoming such, that one has to look up the meaning of words or phrases and dash to the www.before posting.

One upmanship and "cleverness" has superceded original thought and common sense.

I had never heard of puff piece, but i have heard of the word "PUFF" and it means as it has always meant a male homosexual.
