Yes, she has a point there (she's also going on about inflammatory language, which is different). The French have paid compensation before. It will go down like a lead balloon in France and Hollande's poll ratings are already pretty small. This is a 'gimme' for the Front National - they are not very nice. It's getting pretty complicated isn't it?

It's getting pretty complicated isn't it?

Yes it is.
As the french brought down concorde with a screw driver, I dread to think what they will do to the chunnel if compo is demanded.
Already a thtead below.

I agree with Cameron. No British businesses affected by the breakdown in border controls due to this crisis, deserve any compensation.

Any losses incurred can berecouped by increasing their prices to British customers. Why should Cameron subject himself to asking the French for compensation only to be told " Je m’en fou ".

Demand compensation?
Not what we need. Where would the money go?
Money would not give us more land.

No she doesn't, it's just the witches hat she wears.
The French already do more than they need to. The border is in Calais by arrangement with France. They would be perfectly in their rights to just ignore the migrants and let them all come over to Dover and let us sort it out here. That is what would happen if we ever leave the EU , they would all have free access to arrive at a UK port and we would have to sort the mess out here and France would not take them back.
Easy words from a Party in opposition, I wonder what Labour's answer to this situation would be?

Any Laborites out there care to make their suggestions?
