The Express. This is the paper that claimed last week that there was no food in the shops in Greece.

If the EU let Greece go bankrupt the loans will never be repaid. If they refinance or defer the lians, then there is a chance, albeit a slim one, that they might get their money. So the EU will give in but dress it like they haven't.

LOL Bouncer!
What the EU want to see is a government which is serious about reaching a deal. That has not been evident up to now. It had effectively already agreed to the terms which were supposedly rejected in the referendum. That is probably the real reason Varoufakis has resigned. It is all a massive exercise in posturing, of which the stuff about his wife is probably just another chapter.

They'll fudge something.
This all reminds me of the British Labour Party (especially the financial mess).

The elephant in the room is the US, and their paranoiac hatred of Russia and a fear that Putin could get involved with Greece (unlikely). I believe they are putting pressure on Merkel to find a deal at any cost, but the opinion of her country is exasperation at the thought of doling out even more to these feckless people.
A concise summation, Khandro.
