No thank you.

That story would not persuade or dissuade me from voting Labour, in the same way that if I found out that the Shadow Defence spokeman was a terrible marksman and completely unfit - it wouldn't have any bearing on my perception of his abilities of running a government department.

I roll my eyes at the credulity of some people. Politics and running government departments is a serious business.

This story is for children.
I think you have knocked mikey4444 off his perch when it come to frivolous stories about politicians from a camp not of your liking, Linda.

I just thought it rather amusing. We need a little light amusement after all the drivel we've been hearing!
Surely no worse than a country being run by a Prime Minister who forgets his child ! ! ! ! ! ! !
.... or which football club he supports ! ! !

Yet another chapter in the Labour Joke Book!

Hasn't put me off voting for them though as it was never going to happen in the first place!
Writing one bouncing cheque is bad enough but doing it twice is extracting the urine. Not fit to run a tap.
It would be good to see how many other MPs have done this. I'm sure he's not the only one!
You're right, Linda.

We couldn't possibly have a Chancellor who can't look after his own finances.

Does anyone remember Norman Lamont, a Thresher's wine bill and a credit card that was well over its limit?
Politicians don't seem to have too good a record of looking after their own finances, do they?

At least he wasn't claiming it on expenses
I'd sooner put Billy Bunter in charge of the tuck shop.
Brilliant - what a numpty to walk into that one.
That's very embarrassing for a would-be Chancellor. It does not inspire confidence. He has been a very poor Shadow in a very poor Opposition.
Why didn't Yvette tell him, it was a joint account?
His debt =£150.00 previous people's debt in charge of our finances =£1.5 trillion
hmmm
but even without this story most sane intelligent people already know hes totally useless and between him and the rest of his joke of a party they will leave the country in ruin...as is the labour way...always have and always will
I haven’t read all the posts, but no. He and Ed Balls were advisors to Gordon Brown. ‘Nough said!!
