If true: then it would appear she can not be taken seriously as a member of a United Kingdom government. Otherwise she would accept the decisions of the Untied Kingdom government of which she would be a part.

But this sort of thing can occur when a party forms to only look after what they see as the interests of one small part of the kingdom. It's all very well for an individual constituency representative to vote on behalf of the constituents; it is another matter altogether when a party has primary interest in a particular region rather than the whole.

The sooner parties become an anachronism, the better.
That woman is suffering from megolomania

'If at first you don't succeed!'
Sorry for typo megalomania
Is she as bad as the Tesco employees, Gordie?
Her and Salmond make a dynamic deluded duo
It is no surprise.

Milliband must be spitting tacks by now.
Yes what a cheek, following her parties policies.. disgraceful in this day and age

She gets my vote
It's not up to her anyway, that will have to be a westminster decision unless JimmyK is planning to impose a unilateral illegal referendum. In any case she's not even in parliament and is not standiing either.
if Ed refuses to sanction a new referendum, all she has to do is instruct her MPs to walk to the other side of the house and precipitate a few defeats.

she's got Ed by his chancellor, to quote something off another thread.
If we have another referendum it should include all of Britain, after all we are all impacted.

I woudl have thought Nicola would be glad of it too because I reckon the majority of the UK will send the sweaties packing.
But is Wallace(Ed) stupid enough to sup with the devil?
according to David Lammy, there is every possibility of a "close alliance being forged" between labour and SNP.
I can't see they'd actually want another referendum. Surely it's a much better situation for them to be effectively controlling the UK government solely for the benefit of the minority of people north of the border, than it would be to actually achieve independence and have to pay for it all themselves.

///If we have another referendum it should include all of Britain, after all we are all impacted///

If they had done that last time they would be independent now for sure!
If Ed Milband becomes PM there will not be a referendum. So what Ed would do is irrelevant. If there was a referendum under the Tories and the vote was to come out then actually I think the Scots would have a pretty good case for a referendum on independence. Another reason why Sturgeon probably would not be devastated if the Tories won the election and that happened. I think the scenario is unlikely
If the latest Ashcroft seats count is correct and the Tories and Labour end on 277 seats then even if Cameron somehow forms a government it is hard to see a referendum happening. In fact there would be such a hefty anti Tory majority in the house even with about 20 Lib Dems inside it is hard to see how they could govern
And believe me that is when Dave or his successor will come crawling to the Sturgeon :-)
It would be a one term wonder though Ludwig. If labour get taken to the cleaners by the SNP (which they will do if they get into bed with them) they will never be heard of again. This is the SNP's opportunity to get control after funding Sweatyland to the tune of Billions before they float off.
Billions? Lol that's just loose change. We have higher hopes;)
Its a pity they didnt get independence, sod off Sturgeon and Salmond, always thought they were a fishy pair.
I don't think the Scottish people will vote for independence. I think they'd rather have the situation I've described above, where they have the third largest party in a position to extract extra powers and money for themselves, without actually having to take the risk of real independence.

The SNP might win every seat in Scotland, but they can't decide to be independent. Only the people can do that, and they're not that stupid.
