Every election there's always some celebrity Tory supporters that promise to leave the country if Labour get in. Unfortunately like the politicians, they rarely make good on their election promises.

It always turns out there's a clause attached to the promise, and the clause is usually 'If I was lying when I said it, then I don't have to do it'.

The problem is, these people who make these promises never honour their word.
Other examples, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ray Winston have said similar things but the *** never go.

There is always something smug and self agrandising about these statements.

They are saying "I will leave, and the country will be the poorer without me in it."

But it always seems to be people I could happily do without.
