I thought Clegg was the Deputy Prime Minister, and that he and dave were best buddies, but this seems a strange way for friends to behave !

It seems to me that Clegg has finally seen the error in cosying up to the Tories nearly four years ago.

I don't think they have ever been best buddies.Clegg has sabotaged too many of Cameron's proposals.
He's right about this.
It didn't take Dave 4 years to see the encumbrance he was saddled with right from the start!!

I think maybe, just maybe' Clegg has noticed an Election is in the offing, so it's every man for himself!
Clegg is electioneering for his Party not the coalition. So it is completely to be expected that he will attack Cameron up to May.

Dithering Dave looks increasingly pathetic over the televised debates.

Wasn't it dave that sabotaged the Liberals plans and pledges to oppose increasing student tuition fees ?

I realise that in any coalition, there has to be some give and take, but this LibDem pledge was one of the main planks of their build-up to the 2010 Election. Indeed, it may have been one of the main reasons that so many people voted for Clegg in the first place. What we ended up with was,

"Vote LibDem, get the Tories"
"Vote LibDem, get the Tories"

Bunkum. Look at what has been put through, there are many liberal ideas in lpay now that would never have seen the light of day.
Why the surprise?

They are politicians after all.

It's a bit of a game to them.

You are probably correct Hopkirk ! But what happened in the aftermath of the 2010 General Election was entirely new to millions of people in Britain, and it will be on their minds when they go into the ballot box on May 7th.
They will be wondering if what they are voting for will bear any resemblance to what they end up getting.

By the way, how are you getting on with the Archers ?
//They will be wondering if what they are voting for will bear any resemblance to what they end up getting.//

It happens. I recall voting for Tony Blair but the outcome of that bore no resemblance to my expectations.

You could shine a 150watt bulb in Cloggy's face and he still couldn't see the light !
Very well Mikey, but if I coud get my hands on that Rob Titchener, well ....
Would be anything to do with "His own Survival" Sinking ship.
