The Times has proclaimed the UKIP leader as "Briton of the Year".

Do you agree?

Is tis an indication of who the Murdoch papers will support at the General Election?

well he is at least pro British gromit which is a lot more than you can say for Labour or the Limp dums, even the Tories are half anti British. "Briton of the Year" should really go to someone who is in favour of Britain, surely?
Last year's Briton of the Year was George Osborne - says it all for the value of that title.

Tora,
Alex Salmond won the Tiimes Briton of the year 2011 :-)

Yet it was Labour and more precisrly Brown and Darling who did the most to prevent the break up of the United Kingdom by helping to deliver a 'No' vote in the Scottish referendum.
yeah and they are doing their best to get us swallowed up by their corrupt mates in the treacherous EU, very pro British!
But hasn't he got foreign ancestry? How could he be described as Brit of the year?

Appears to meet the British criterion

Just a reminder of the Conservatives pro Britishness...

1973 - Tories frogmarch the UK into the EEC without a referendum.
1975 - Tories campaign to stay in the EEC during a Labour referendum.
1983 - Tories win election, despite Labour's pledge to leave the EEC.
1986 - Tories sign SEA.
1992 - Tories sign Maastricht.
1995 - Tories begin to negotiate Amsterdam.
2007 - Tories give 'cast-iron pledge' to give Britons a referendum on Lisbon.
2010 - Tories break pledge over Lisbon.
Farage being Briton of the Year is like Kim Jong Un winning the Nobel peace prize.
Can't argue with that but remember, "There is joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth..."
These things are always a bit of Christmas fun.
I had already read the Times article so in answer to Gromit's question, yes I agree: it's definitely Farage that the Times has chosen :-)
oh sorry and the answer to the other question will the Murdoch papers support Farage: no!
It's not exactly a very flattering article anyway :-)
Well done Nigel. You've got the AB socialists crying into their Champagne, if nothing else.
There is little that I can say now, about Mr Farage, that I have not already said during 2014. But here is a man who REALLY deserves the title " Briton of the Year" ::::::

Anybody who heard Eddie Mair interview Dr John Nott on the PM program on Xmas Eve, will find it impossible to envisage that any politician, let alone Farage, could possible be ahead of this Red Cross doctor. If the Queen hasn't given him a medal of some kind by now, she should give the affair serious consideration as soon as possible.

He is my hero for 2014.

Is this remark:
a) stupid
b) disgusting
c) racist?

Tick any that you think apply.

Considering the amount of hassle Murdoch has had during this Parliament, I would not be surprised if his papers did not support the Conservatives in the General Election. Murdoch papers try to support the winner, but the next election will be hard to call for everyone, including Murdoch.
At the moment the Times is busting a gut to defame Miliband - almost comically so. Equally, it is open season on Farage and Ukip: admittedly they have an open goal there.
Come election day it is hard to see them, if they make any sort of recommendation, doing anything other than saying "Vote Tory". And the same goes for the Sun. Less likely that the Times will try and tell its readers who to vote for though.
Just had a look at my watch to make sure its not April 1st.
