UKIP, that party that was never going to have any seats in Parliament now has two.... who's worrying more.... Dave or Millibland??

As for Cleggy.... less than 1% of the vote.... he should be embarrased to call himself a serious politician... they better hope there's no more

While I appreciate your need and intention in trying to gloss over the disaster that yesterday's vote has been for the Tories, ----------------- ??????????? But you're the party in Opposition mikey and your performance is in real terms dire. As I said yesterday, if Ed gets in on the back of UKIPs success it'll be the hollowest and meaningless victory in the...

I watched the results coming in Slappy. The LIMPs, as predicted, are rapidly fading into the history books. Aww shame ...
Nice one, Nigel!
Nice one, son!
Nice one, Nigel!
Let's have another one!

Very respectable showing for Dave, though. As for hapless Nick, oh dear!
Brilliant result for Labour. (mikey will be along to tell us later. ;-))
It'll be interesting to see how many more MPs from ALL parties now defect to UKIP. I certainly hope so.
Tory plus UKIP, 76.91%. That will gladden mikey's heart.
Doesn't look as though muesli, lentils and knitted yoghurt are the staple diet of the good burghers of Rochester.
Will the LIMP s now lose their deposit?,,, again?
blackie, how did you know what I eat?
Less than 5% means a lost deposit, so yes, the Libs are £500 poorer today.
Aaww shame eh, blackie? Consigned to the history books, I hope forever.
Not as stunning a victory as Clacton, though. Wouldn't surprise me if the Tories regained the seat come May.
Oh no, don't say that. I hope not.

Would have been a real giggle if the Limps had polled even fewer than Charlotte Rose..... the headlines would have been great
Funny, I thought of that too.
Nick who?

I think the person who deserves a mention is the Rochester sweet shop owner, who predicted a UKIP win, but by nothing like the margin many were predicting. And he was dead right. Get that man n the BBC election night team with his bulls eyes.
However, it's the little things that interest me:
And I can't help noticing that Hairy Knorm of the MRLP trounced the BNP candidate Fransen by nearly a hundred votes in admittedly a low-scoring contest :-)
So much for Facebook being the new MORI :-)
As I said above, a very respectable result for Dave. Nothing like the triumph Nige was expecting.
