Should he comply with the police request to remove it?

I can't understand why anyone would want this image on the back of their truck and I certainly wouldn't want children to see it in passing.

I can see it could cause concern, but I think it is probably a minor thing. Clearly it isn't the real thing.
Some folk clearly need to get a life.
Don't understand the logic of wanting this on your truck, I wish the police could MAKE him move it.

I think if a child caught a glimpse of that as it passed it could be quite disturbing as well as being distracting to other drivers.

It's a strange individual that finds the idea of a kidnapping amusing
Could upset children.
I find it disturbing too.

According to your link he has agreed to remove it.

He has changed his mind and is refusing
///Detectives from West Yorkshire Police say they have spoken to the owner, believed to be fitness trainer James Hellewell, and the force say he has agreed to remove it///
Further down the link
///.He appears to have initially agreed to take it off but may now have refused. Tweeting about police demanding he take it off he wrote: 'NO' hours after saying it had been 'fun' having the sticker but he would remove the 'wrap'.///

It could cause distraction among other road users and cause an accident
I have the sickest sense of humour and don't find it offensive just pointless!
It is quite a disturbing image, I wouldn't want to see that driving around the streets.

I find the image and the mindset of someone who would display this on their truck disturbing.

Very strange.
If you were driving around a roundabout and glimpsed that, you could be fooled into thinking it's the real thing.

I'd like to avoid the word 'offensive' and instead call it what I believe it is - twattish.
A bad joke and distasteful especially when coupled with a #Hashtag he also used.
Irresponsible Driver, must be Childless?
.

what happens if you say to a p'liceman: " O God dont you have anything better to do with your time ? "
like Mamya, I think the hashtag was worse - I didn't even realise from the photo that it was a woman.
I find it disturbing the person concerned must be a sicko.
