Maybe you saw this story recently. I missed it coz I was away, but it's caused quite a stir locally.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2790020/sainsbury-s-told-lesbian-couple-stop-kissing-leave-supermarket-customer-complained.html

How do we feel about PDAs generally?

The local students are having "kiss ins" where everyone is encouraged to stand outside Sainsburys and snog their pals (same gender pals, obviously, given the context).

This happened in Brighton and someone complained?

You have to love the woman who was "worried for her child" ...

And she presumably lives in or around Brighton !!
What's a PDA?
A public display of affection.
Public displays of affection
If indeed it was a'light kiss'then the customer has overreacted big time, did she think her child would melt?
Live and let live who cares who is kissing who, I am more interested in my Shopping.

Melting child syndrome.

I hadn't taken that into account.

Jesus they should go live in France they would have a heart attack all that kissing (how disgraceful)

Baz ... standard Daily Mail superfluous "information"
since when is dam n a swear word ?
Ive had gay friends over the years and have no issue with same sex relationships. However, I find it distasteful to flaunt ones sexuality in public. In just the same way that I find 'gay parades' distasteful. If youre gay, fine. Not a problem. Flaunting it about for all to see? Thats another story.
nailit....good post....I agree.

They must have been "snogging" big time for a customer to complain in............BRIGHTON.

Have you ever been?
Depends how the display of affection was....anyone any couple doing such things in any public place is IMO out of bounds, but then I mold fashioned and know certain things are done in privacy .... Seems anything goes now..
nailit -so if my OH (a man) put his arm around me in Sainsbury's and gave me a peck on the cheek (which he has done in the past) , would that upset you - heterosexual 'flaunting' ?
I would have thought that the scandal would have been a heterosexual couple kissing in Sainsbury's, not two gay folk......Honestly, what an unnecessary palaver and typical Daily Wail spew.

Is it just gay people 'flaunting'their affection, or does heterosexual kissing push your buttons as well?
I forgot to add 'a scandal in Brighton'
