Wow, overwhelming but necessary I guess.
This is exactly what I was talking about in my post last week ::

Its going to paralyze Cardiff and the surrounding areas for days to come. What a waste of money !
Reading all this, and thinking of the disruption and expense, would it not be sensible to have a centre somewhere in Europe where a secure venue for all summits could be set up? If the USA wanted it, another centre could be in America, and one in Asia etc. if wished - but it seems sense to me and I'm certain that it would be cheaper and less disruptive in the long run.
To paraphrase a quote made by a previous Leader of Plaid Cymru when the Tories were in power back the 80's, "its about as welcome here in Wales as a rat sandwich"
It is quite an important summit and it has to be held somewhere.
It is very sad that such measures are thought necessary but this is the modern world I'm afraid
Well, we don't want the horrid thing here boyo !
If that attitude is typical of most Welsh people I find it sad. It is certainly a disruption, but it puts the place on the map (hopefully for the right reasons) as it did Fermanagh for the last - in more ways than one - G8 summit
It is way past time that we tightened our security in this country. For goodness sake how long are we going to wait before we sort out those that want to live here in peace & those that want to harm us ? Round up all known Jihadists & send them to a Muslim country of their choice, we do not want them here.
