Perhaps not according to the World Health Organization.

Personally I dont have any beef, they don't smell and the vapour seems to disappear pretty quickly.

Some are some are not -I would think even the most unsafe ones are still safer than clogging up your lungs with tar. The best seem to be V.I.P ones made in the UK. OH has been on these for 7 months now and not gone back to cigs after 40 years of smoking.
Odd alert from WHO - is electronic smoking safe - yup - altho long term studies have yet to be completed.

are there unsafe ciggies - yeah they're called 'tobacco'

is the WHO saying that tar is in fact safe ?
No tar is not safe - which is why people are asking what it is exactly that WHO is saying.
They are most certainly not safe, something health experts have been saying for a long time now.
