jordy i agree but in reality no chance I'm afraid
What has immigration done for us?
There is no reason why people can't be issued with identity cards. Only those not supposed to be here would have a problem and that's the whole point! Your card could be linked to your NI number or equivalent like it is in Canada and France. I would gladly carry an ID card as I have nothing to hide. It does not infringe human rights unless those rights include hiding from the government or immigration services

/// I would love to start a post on here regarding identity cards every one should have one if you dont you are illegal, so out you go, ///

I suggested that there should be ID cards in an earlier thread, I'd like to know why some are opposed to the idea?
ID cards have been proposed and rejected , the main problems were cost and the fact that they could be forged. A pilot scheme was started and then abandoned when the first forgeries were detected just one month after the introduction.
Oh yes, ID cards would have stopped these villains in their tracks.
Can we widen the use of 'Switch' cards perhaps?

How would ID cards prevent this type of crime?

You asked:

"What has immigration done for us?"

Is that a serious question, or tongue in cheek?
/a national DNA data bank/

yeah genius idea

the government can spend billions of our money on it

c0ck it all up

then leave it on a train
Immigration built England.
That may or may not be so. It's an arguable point.

One think that is not quite so arguable is that it is now slowly destroying it.
