Bit unfair that I think. The suggestion is that lots of people die every year at Glastonbury from drugs overdoses and I don't think that is the case.
These days I think it's more Britain's annual Merchant Bankers Trying to be Cool Fest :-)
Surely you mean music festival......

I've been a few times and it's not a drugs fest.
Sad to hear of a death but he would likely have taken the Ketamine wherever he was this week - folk don't need to pay a small fortune to go and take drugs.

Really ! ...so there aren't any drug dealers at Glasto then ? Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather !
yep, I went last year and was not offered acid once
Somewhere in the region of 175k people attend. I would be surprised that in any situation involving that number of folk that one or two may die and one or ten may be arrested.

Get off your high horse of pomposity and give AOG some room.....no doubt he'll have a say.........

You sound disappointed Randy !
i was!
Of course there are drugs there but its not a drugs fest.

Have you ever been?

Thanks eccles...aog will have his say whatever I do. But thanks for your quite hard put down...not sure what I have done to deserve it though. It was a tongue-in-cheek post from me, thats all.

A very biased opinion, although not unexpected
Colinandjess is spot on, the difference between my first glasto in 1995 and last year was that there were less hippies and more champagne. I wont be going again but would urge all to sample it once.

Ummmmm. I am 61 years old, and no wish to listen to days of loud pop music, sitting in a sea of mud. It may be your sort of thing, and that is OK, but its not mine.

Now if it was 3 days at Glyndebourne....well, that would be different !
Ketamine`s been part of the rave scene for years. I know one or two quite respectable people who have been users (they call it Special K). If you get a large rave such as Glastonbury, you`re going to get people using it. It`s not really any surprise.
I've been lucky enough to miss the mud.

It's also as loud as you want it to be.
Oh Mikey do be careful the druggies at Glyndebourne may be slightly more upper class, but they're there alright.
I agree, Mamya. It's a higher class of high.

Aren't all opinions biased Baldric, or is it only mine ? Are you saying that I am not allowed any opinions, unless they comply with yours ?

This man has died from taking a drug meant for anaesthetising horses, not just a bit of cannabis.
