I know, my heart actually dropped when I heard it. Brilliant actor and came across as a lovely guy in interviews.

Sad, RIP Bob, you left us with the Best British Gangster movie to remember you by.
And who can forget Who Framed Rodger Rabbit?

I know he was a far more meaty actor, but that film was massive when I was young.
Awww. loved Bob. RIP :o(

On 30 April 2014, Hoskins's agent announced that he had died of pneumonia at the age of 71. He had suffered from Parkinson's disease in the later years of his life.

RIP a great Actor
Sad news - RIP Bob
Always sad, RIP
Yeah, sad news. Played a superb part in Mona Lisa.
So many fine films, what a legacy to leave.

The Long Good Friday was for me his best film.
Just saw this whilst out with friends for lunch.

Turns out that everyone referred to him as the actors from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' rather than 'The Long Good Friday' (a much better film, in my opinion).

Sad, because it was so sudden. I always expected him to go on to become one of 'the old guard' (like Peter O'Toole, Patrick Stewart, Sit Christopher Lee or Sir Ian McKellan).
oh no, that is awful, one of my favourite actors
was saddened to hear of this on the news.
RIP Bob
