i heard this on the news earlier, hope he is ok
Just shows the importance of accepting "poo" tests when offered. Apparently many people turn them down when a simple test could catch any indications early.
Good luck to George. Hope it's been caught early enough to cause little problems.
I had a "poo" test last year. They are not the nicest thing to do but I persevered. Hope everything goes OK with this nice man.
I like him, get well soon George.
Seems like a really nice man. Hope he's OK.
can someone remind me , re the bowel screening test, at what age is it offered ?
Bowel screening is offered by the NHS from the age of 60 to 75.
Great news presenter and a very nice personality best wishes to him get well soon!
I thought a few weeks ago that he had lost weight, my thoughts are with you George, get well soon.
George is 58 therefore too young to be selected for bowel screening, which shows people also need to look out for changes in bowel habit, unexpected weight loss etc.
Wish him well as he's one of my favourite presenters.
I've just heard about this, I do hope he'll be OK. My Bro and next youngest sis have recovered from this disease, not pleasant but ok now after chemo and reversal.
yeah - I presented at 47.
Treatment not nice - pre op radiotherapy and then hemicolectomy.

You fell cr+ p for a bout a year - I coped badly with the temporary ileostomy

The bowel cancer bod ( surgeon actually ) said of 100 people who walk in with this, 50 will walk back in in five years.
