what is it about drivers of white vans, that make them think they're invincible and therefore outside the scope of warning signs/notices/speed limits/traffic laws, etc?

that is scary, why do it i wonder.
The same thing that makes them think they can drive on the wrong side of the road because it's quicker......twice....in two days.....the third will be really sorry....☻
They jump out of the van and then go and stand round the side where it's in danger of being blown over. Not exactly the brightest.
Blimey...

I just asked my partner as he drives a high top van and he said he would absolutely not drive over a bridge in high winds.
I don't consider that to be a high sided vehicle, to be fair, although as far as I know there is no legal definition of the term.
Maybe the driver was also a keen cyclist. They were out giving it a go too.
