Goodness! Such hostility! Give the bloke a break! He’s not mentioned ‘crazy people’, and he’s given no indication that he’s a ‘fascist’, or considering joining the EDL - that's all in your minds! Will you be asking whether we have any Catholic controlled councils?
Are you asking us or telling us? My local Parish Council is C of E controlled ; I'm the only atheist on it. The adjacent village council is atheist controlled, if that's any help.
Wouldn't MUslim councillors be split, as many Christian councillors are, on ideological lines? They'd be Labour, Tory, and even a few Lib-Dems.
I know lots of council controlled by crazy people
Does that count ?
Fred, I am shocked - you were almost elected Pope a few months ago
I wouldn't have thought so as I am fairly certain the Daily Mail would have informed us if we had. Not sure why you are asking in the first place ?

According to the 2011 Census results, Muslims comprise only 4.8% of the adult population of Britain, so it would seem that they have to go some considerable way before they are in a position to actually control anything.
Are you another Daily Mail worshiping fascist who is convinced that the UK is imminently going to be under Sharia law?
If you are, then you appear to be a prime candidate to join the EDL !
These crazy people would be democratically-elected crazy people I take it PP ?
We ought to get more demographic information about our councils so that we can ensure that niche groups are sneaking in. I suggest average height, hair colour, shoe size, newspaper taken............
Pope? Me, PP? I didn't really fancy the frock or the hours. Could manage to mangle the Latin pronunciation the way the RCs do though, given a bit of practice. But the conclave thought electing me would be a cardinal error, so my nomination was ended as soon as it began
Boroughs or towns with the highest Muslim population: Tower Hamlets 36% Newham 24% and Blackburn and Darwen 19%. Can't find evidence of any being Muslim controlled. It is possible that some authority in north London, such as Barnet ,has Jewish control but I can't find proof of that either. But then who needs proof if they ask an OP like this one ?

Sorry about the 'typo' - I only asked this out of sheer curiosity- I'm NOT fascist !.....just lacking in political knowledge.

It’s just a question – and considering that good Muslims, whatever political party they support, are expected to give priority to Islamic ideology above everything else, it’s a reasonable one.
one man who they could have done without, the more i read about him the more irritated i get. He was the one who pushed for Tower Hamlets, a London borough to be given city status. Our Local council has had Asian leaders, members, don't know their specific religion, not sure that would be a prerequisite for the job.

We had a Mayor who was Asian. But he was a muslim not a mulim.
we have had more than one...
Yes Naomi, I read this last night and was staggered at the rudeness and hostility shown to Matheous.
In short, Matheous, they're saying they don't know. The reason they seem so angry, not sure.
It could be because, astoundingly, the far left have entered into power sharing deals with the Respect Party. (Strangely enough, in all the wards mentioned in Fred's last post)
And, of course Respect are the de- facto Islamist party. (That's right, facists)
Haven't read Em's Link, yet, but it might touch on some of this. Does it also mention election fraud?
Must read it and get back to this later.
it mentions his actions of what would be considered dodgy dealing, not to mention his pro Islamic stance, and trying to get Tower Hamlets city status, for the reasons of economy and power, look into his history, it's decidedly unsavoury, one of our Mayors had similar problems.
There is little between the extreme left and fascism as can be seen by some of the posts on AB.
