A Mars spokesperson said: "...deep-frying one of our products would go against our commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles."

Mark Cruickshank, a senior solicitor with Brodies intellectual property department, told BBC Scotland: "I suspect Mars is concerned that the deep-frying of its products is not in line with its policy of promoting a healthy lifestyle"

They often get Professor Cary Cooper on to state the obvious. I remember when he revealed that the reason people do the lottery is they think they might might win a large sum of money
Ha ha! Politic - if nothing else!!
they were seeking EU geographical status, like Champagne and Parma ham and so on? So nobody anywhere else could deep-fry Mars bars? No wonder Mars wanted nothing to do with it. They'll be happy for their artefacts to be deep-fried anywhere without restriction.
