I totallly agree humbersloop, that is a lovely story.

Unfortunately, many will just see it as grasping foreigners taking as much as they can from the gullible generous British public.

I agree it is the best of Britishness (but some will read it as pandering).

The Time Trials were today. Results as follows:

Mens:

Lassane Gasbeogo came 10th 9 minutes 38.27 seconds behind Alessandro Zanardi, the former Italian Formula 1 racing driver.

Womens:

Kadidia Nikiema came 6th in her trial 9 minutes 54.03 seconds behind the winner Sandra Graf of Switzerland.

Both of their Road Races are being held on Friday.
