Our troops are out there training their Police and Army to take over when we leave.

Cameron even promises to continue to support them when we withdraw, so much so that he is prepared to spend our taxpayers money in building for them a 'Sandhurst in the Sand'.

Yet how do they repay us? by shooting us in the back.

Well as a general principle you cannot trust people who believe in mythical beings above all else.

It now seems obvious you cannot convert a backward Islamic country into a westernized one by throwing money at it. All we have done is to create a divided Afghanistan, those who support Taliban ideals with those who don't.

We did the same with Iraq and Libya and we can now see the results of divided countries mostly split along religious lines.

We need another Chilcot to learn the lessons of foreign interventions.
