i don't think we do like the French all that much, we have been at war with them endless times, saving their backsides on any number of occasions
the Parisians are the rudest people on the planet. There will always be this frisson between us. Maybe funny but i don't think there is any love lost.

The French do not suffer from jealousy of the British. They have the most beautiful country in the world, the most beautiful language in the world, they make the best cars, eat the best food, have the best rock singer etc I could go on but hopefully you have got my point. One of the above statements may be true, the rest almost certainly are not but the French wouldn't bother to argue the point as they know they are right, just like the British.
