British champion or r***y Scotsman ?

Once again we are seeing euphoria around Mr Murray, being hailed once again as a great Brit.

So how long will it be before he becomes the r**dy Scotsman again when he is out ?

And what if he wins?

At Wimbledon, Andy Murray plays tennis for Andy Murray. He is *not* playing for Scotland, or Great Britain; he is paying for himself, for the winners-cheque and for the prestige of becoming a Wimbledon Champion.

I wish him well.
Come on Tim !!!
And what if he wins?

He'll be English! ;-)
These titles are not mutually exclusive. I've not checked his complexion anyway.
It is 74 years since Britain have had a mens finalist at Wimbledon and 76 years since we had a mens winner at Wimbledon. Call him Scotish or British it matters not. Having a winner from these Islands is all that matters to me . Although a runner up is actually the very best I expect for Murray
It's a load of rubbish. I've never seen him referred to as English/British when he's winning and Scottish when he loses.
Nor have I ummmm. He's always played for GBR not SCO.
And that's a fact Vodka. He's Scottish...which is part of GBR.
According to one web-site 'Murray Mania is Sweeping Britain'.

Should I raise the Scottish Flag, the Union Flag or the EU flag?

Won't bother doing any of those because, it's 'chucking it down' outside.
I don't care if he's British or Scottish, he's still a miserable sod.............but I'd love him to win it.
tut - just a "fair-weather patriot", then, aog?

Imagine if Nelson had said "I'm not going to Trafalgar, it's wet."

Or Henry V had proclaimed "Once more unto the Met Office, dear friends, once more."
jno

And did we not delay D-Day until the very last minute, simply because of the bad weather in the channel?

/// tut - just a "fair-weather patriot", then, aog? ///

I show no patriot pride towards a guy with a racket and ball.
Amazing - thought I would never see the day......AOG being described and implicating himself as being a "Wet".
He's Scottish to me whether he wins or loses.
win or lose, i couldnt care less
Never mind, it was good to have two Scotsmen in the semi-finals...Andy Murray and Jock Ovitch!
Nice one QM!
I am rooting for Murray, who cares where he comes from.
Personally, I'd prefer Federer to win.
