News? Really . . .

With all the important things going on in the world, the Daily Sun has a weird stance on what is news. This is today's front page story.

As she is a resident columnist on this tabloid, she will, in a few months' time, most probably be telling readers what went wrong with marriage number 3.

Since this is titled the 'News Topic' section and unlike others I think all news outlets should be allowed to announce and print what they wish, but it does not mean that one has to report on it, if one doesn't wish to do so.

So I can't actually see the reason why you have used the Sun's story, if you are so against both the newspaper and of it's reporting of such trivia.

Please don't class this as a criticism of you personally, just a simple observation.
Well, it's not news worthy to me, and obviously you either SirP, but to some it might be.
at Euston station, there's a feed provided by Sky News to one of the active billboards mounted next to the departure screens. and each of the last 3 or 4 times i've been there, the news has been almost exclusively that concerning celebrities, who are deemed to be so famous that they are identified only by their first names.

of course Sky News are probably only providing a service - in which case, Network Rail clearly knows who its customers are.
you'll often find tabloids printing even softer news stories at the weekend than they do during the week. They think their readers don't want to trouble their pretty little heads with worries about media corruption, government incompetence or war in Syria.

(This attitude, by and large, is also reflected in the threads posted in AB News.)
I expect it's news to those who care.
