i firmly believe he should have his eyes gouged out too - then he might have just a smidgen of understanding of what he has done to her. disgusting human being.

I read this online and was devastated for her, I hope and pray she doesn't become another PC Rathband as she is really struggling with not being able to see. Bless Her and Everhelpful, I agree with you.

yes, I probably should have given this a bigger warning for the grossness of the story. My mother had tears welling when it was reported on the Beeb News.

I think the love for her kids will see her through the immediate years.....that was evident in the longer interview on Spotlight (bit of a prat of an interviewer - "what's the biggest thing you miss?" Duh.....
At lunchtime a recording of the BBC interview with her was played on the radio. It made me feel physically sick, and I cried when she said about never being able to see her children's faces again. How can a relationship come to that? I am so lucky wth the man I've got!
Same to him.
You forfit all human rights when you do something like that to someonelse.... She was saying how she will never see her kids faces again? For that nothing can ever ever compensate. Hope he rots. X

And it just seems so wrong that the charge is GBH. I think of that as something serious, but something that you can recover from.

She was such a pretty, vivacious woman too (still is I know), but look what he's reduced her to. Kiki I know what you mean, I've been lucky too.

In a few days we will forget when something else more horiffic come along .For this courageous lady its only begining .We hope and pray that she does cope with this .Of course its normal to want justice in like for his crimes but why should we advoce his terrible deeds as justice .They were the act of a coward and there would be few who would carry it out .The lonely days when he realises what he has done will not be pleasant for him .

^ not sure dt, I think it could still carry a life sentence depending which section of the Act they prosecuted under.

Hope so, sloopy.
I bet he gets a rough time in prison -maybe some poetic justice exerted as well, an eye for an eye and all that. Plastic forks are good skewers.

Anyone got a plastic fork handy that I could borrow?

I caught the end of an interview. I didn't realise he'd gouged her eyes out. How sick must a person be to do that?
I heard the interview with Tina Nash on the radio whilst out driving earlier today. I had to pull over as I found myself crying. I don't think that any words I could type would truly express my utter pity for this lady and the contempt and loathing I feel for her attacker.
It's a terrible story - she was on the TV news several times today. Once he'd injured her so dreadfully, he didn't call for help for twelve hours. Unimaginable for that poor woman - I'm glad he's been put away.
