Perhaps all cells should be fitted with nooses.

Glad it's not your world Hopkirk, and we just live in it - there's a fair chance that a large chunk of us wouldn;t survive!

My tongue was also firmly in my cheek.
not sure you can say 'piece of scum' with your tongue in your cheek, for a start it'd sound like

'whpieth ofv thkumm'

Lol
I'll wait and see if the forensic evidence and witness statements produced by the Police would have been enough to convict the Lithuanian man in question, whether or not he was here illegally and whether or not he had 'previous' before I decide he may have saved the taxpayer a lengthy, costly trial and the costs incurred in keeping him in prison for life......
I expect he couldn't face the beatings and torture.
Accused of killing a policeman's parents & found dead in his cell what a surprise!!!!!!
too many people end up in prison cells that shouldn't be there, those with alcohol problems and mental health issues, so hope that your tongue goes back where it firmly belongs.
Lots of innocent people in prison!
i said that some shouldn't be there, have a look at the stats for drug addicts and those with mental health problem who can end up in prison, and not a care home or centre to help them.
Much easier to do a google search for the story, saves all this unpleasantness.

If this was the person Hopkirk was referring to, I think he was quite correct in his description.

This paedophile rapist's wife who killed her kids, could also be described in such a way.
As could Norris + Dobson
much easier to read all the posts that went before. i think we estalished this was the person referred to be hopkirk.....

Quite correct Ankou, easy mistake to make seeing that they both hung themselves within a few days of each other.

You have to admit though, that my link fits the headline much more appropriately.
Anyone that knows me knows my view that I think any criminal should be hung. I don't care if it is shoftlifting or murder. Mass hangings on a weekly basis to rid ourselves of these individuals is something I would love to see.
but with that kind of schedule, where would you find the time to attend to answerbank and your dedicated mind warping sessions ?
grffndoor, would you be saying that if your teenage child was caught shopliffting a bar of choclate?
we don't want to go back to the day when a child could be hung for stealing a loaf of bread, or transported to the colonies, not that we have any, anymore. But we should stick with the innocent until proven guilty, it may be flawed, but it' the best we have.
Reading about the accused in today's paper, I don't think Hopkirk was too far away from the truth with his OP.
