seems a strange reason to have a party, birthday, anniversary, marriage, even divorce, but banning these numptys, nah
It's about time the powers that be stopped them, I'm sick of turning the other cheek.
And I have said this before that this group has no more than 20 people at the most and I do wonder why they get so much media attention?
Question Author
Anyone burning poppies on Remembrance Sunday whilst shouting "Death to British soldiers" will gain a high degree of attention keyplus90, particularly a large amount of outrage from the British public.
because they do it for maximum effect, and it works, and even if there were no press in attendance, someone would snap the event on their mobile, and post on youtube.
So, ban this lot by all means, but to be totally consistent, those millions of non Muslims who since 2003 have been vociferous in their condemnation of our invasions of Iraq and retrospectively of Afghanistan (2001) are technically no different except that they don't go around burning poppies.

Therefore, this ban is basically pointless - it will achieve nothing but appease the majority of the population (non Muslims).
It doesn't really work though does it?

This is just another shell for a group already banned

They've just homed in on something that gets people worked up and the newspapers trot off and report it with lots tighty cropped pictures to make a dozen people look like 100.

You'd almost think the tabloids were getting paid by these people.

It would be better to just ban the reporting of their protests - but tht's a rather big and dangerous step in a democracy and you risk going back to the days of actors voicing over people like Gerry Adams which just makes a laughing stock of the Government
A poem for the poppy abusers.

This land was built from blood and tears
The sacrifice of 2000 years
The Romans came the Vikings too
So why would we be afraid of you
But mark my words and mark them well
It was 1066 since we last fell
When it comes to a fight we hate to lose
So respect our dead - or leave - you choose.
R>I>P to all who gave their today for our tomorrow.
Wow, where have all these anti-extremist Muslims come from?

When I suggest that they should be banned, they get nothing but support, and such statements as we live in a democracy, so why should they be banned are rolled out.

It seems to me, like it all depends on who is asking the question.
indeed aog. ask a muslim from the islamic society of britain and you get:

"In one sweep, Muslims Against Crusades display an unspeakable disregard for the feelings and common bond of our countrymen and women, a contempt and rejection of our hard-earned democracy and its institutions, a disdain for the majority of British Muslims - who do not share their views - and a violation of the example of the Prophet Muhammad."
At last we have a Home Secretary who sticks up for Britain. It seems the far left is trying to get her removed!
Rov, would this be the same home secretary who removed immigration checks and blamed a civil servant? And is now being sued by him and seems likely to lose?
well if she goes, she will have done one good deed, and that's fine by me.
at last AOG you finally got it!
what, letting in 125,000 unknowns versus banning the name of a group is ok by you ?
Well said jno
