Don't know what you are talking about . The only people who objected to them were some of the human rights brigade and they were mainly left wingers.

Didn't some Muslims complain about them being in their area, and got them covered before they came into use, and finally got them removed altogether?
if you mean birmingham project champion aog then no. the complaint was that it was a waste of money, and that no public consultation had taken place. the campaign leader was not muslim.
i don't like them, never have, irrespective of the recent riots, assuming that they have caught out many of these individuals, then its ok to spy on the majority, who are law abiding. Would you think it ok, if your e mail was intercepted, or phone calls for that matter, because i wouldn't.

Our council installed so many, that there are very few places that don't have them.
