where are the EU death camps, then?
Ask the citizens of Coventry.........
No of course not. Even though i am not a europhile, you can't compare the two. An estimated 90 million dead in WW2, and it was the Nazis who were reponsible for the murder of millions of those people.
No.

But they're not as good at building motorways.

The EU does it's damage in a far more sinister and indirect way jno, try to think beyond the obvious.
What a ridiculous question, not even worthy of an answer!!
EU didn't cause the London Blitz, nor as JHT pointed out Coventry, Glasgow, and many other cities in Britain. Nor death camps and murder.

Not worth and answer ratter? yet you commented, now let me see.......

yes em10 but the EU has done far more damage than mere bombs.
Yes they enabled low cost airlines!
R1 Geezer, i am not in favour of EU as it stand now, think it has done a lot of damage, gone way over the remit of the early days of the EEC, but there is no comparison to make.
That "question" reminds me the bizarre views of right-wing Euro-sceptic John Laughland, who is in the habit of comparing all sorts of "evils", including the EU of course, with Nazism and other extreme ideologies. Oddly though he also speaks up for racist dictators like Milosevic.
I'm not sure whom such a comparison insults more: the EU or the millions of victims of the Nazis.
I thought it was a fair question. I took it laterally, not literally, and in some ways they have.
Well at least you are starting to think outside the box Jake.

R1, I reckon the EU has done far more damage. Clearly they done kill masses but Economically and to the freedom of our lives they have far outdone the third Reich

It's not meant to insult anyone but to induce thought. We now suffer tyranny of a different sort.
Geezer, I left a comment, I did not answer your question.
With respect I don;t think a question like that induces thought at all: you will get some people - like me - pointing out that there is no comparison whatever, and others agreeing with you. I don't need to apply much thought before coming to my conclusion, and self-evidently anyone who agrees with you has applied zero thought to the mattter also.
Better to come up with a more intelligent question, to be honest.

I haven't given my own view yet, ichkeria, this is what is known as a "question" designed to solicit the opinion of others, I'm not expressing an opinion of my own merely attempting to induce thought, sorry that passed you by.
"I'm not expressing an opinion of my own merely attempting to induce thought"

Yes I know, you already made that point and I respectfully suggestied that while you will undoubtedly get plenty of opinions you are unlikely to inspire much serious thought :-)
Question Author
why not? perhaps you cannot see the possibilities.
