pretty one-sided, by the look of it. The argument that the land wasn't theirs anyway, it belonged to the Turks, sounds pretty much the same as the British Museum claim that it holds the Elgin Marbles legally as it got them from the Turkish rulers of Greece at the time. The possibility that the Turks were unwanted invaders too, in both cases, doesn't seem to trouble anyone. And blithely calling the Palestinians terrorists ignores the importance of terrorist action by people like the 'Stern Gang' in securing the formation of Israel in the first place.

So I don't think I trust that article - it just doesn't sound impartial. (It is, I know, hard to find anyone impartial on this issue.)

Hi jno,
Thanks for copming back on this, and taking the time to read it.

Yes, I agree, it is one sided, but it would be, coming from a Jewish website, in truth, I was more interested in the comments by the Arab politicians quoted in the article, I thought very interesting.

As for the children and grandchildren returning to what they say was, and should be their homeland, there's a truth in what wou8ld happen to the Jews if that should happen,
Brings to mind what the Maltese say about Malta, if all the descendants of expat Maltese were to go back, Malta would sink, same for Britain, the difference, obviously, is the political side of it.

I was hoping some others might comment also, but as i said, thanks for coming back on it.

As you acknowledge, it is biased, I am not sure any reporting on such an emotive issue can be unbiased unless the author is totally disinterested.

I understand that other Arab states have in order to secure political points/ or to ensure the problem of Palestine refugees is not 'solved' by those countries making space for the refugees has resulted in many people suffering that has in some ways been needless. However as someone who is an outsider to the situation and has no reason to be 'on one side or the other', its like trying to untangle who is the worstest culprit. In my probably mostly uninformed opinion, both sides and others with an interest have contributed and sustained a horrendous situation. Personally I can not understand a faith or a piece of land being more important than my and others health and well being. Grudges and vengeance just perpetuate the suffering.
