Why are people so angry ?

The frst time I came on this message board it contained interesting questions and a wide range of generally well-informed opinions and fact-based answers.

But more and more it seems like only the angry and reactionary want to contribute.

"This country is going to the dogs!" I read.

Is it?

Why?

How?

I'd like to hear AB user views.

Genuinely - the good and bad things.

Although I don't go for conspiracies. Hope that's okay.

My view? I'm very proud of this country. Generally speaking we are liberal, inquisitive and progressive.

Hi dancunian .It would be interesting to know when you first came on - date please ? For over 4 years Britain has been at war against terrorism and this has probably affected the mood of its citizens. Terrorist alert in Britain is very high according to the civil contingencies committee -cobra - holidaymakers travel has been disrupted, new laws have been introduced , surveillance and security has greatly increased in Britain and there has been a terrorist attack INSIDE Britain and we are told MANY terrorist attacks have been thwarted . On top of this our military are in danger of being killed every day , many have been killed . Consciences that conveniently lie dormant in more peaceful times start to irk . This encourages tempers to become shorter , sharper and more irrational as comfortable , conservative , views/ images/ideas become threatened - as many of them ought to be , and may even lead to positive change . This country is not going to the dogs , I Hope it is wakening up.

Don't take it too seriously. In general, the doom-mongers are the equivalent of the crazy old man who rants away in the corner of the pub.

Nothing you can say is going to cheer him/them up.

NJOK instead of trying to fob off the old man in the corner of the Pub try listening to what he has to say and recognise the truth .
He most likely has seen ,done,heard,read and experienced so much more than you'll ever have need to .

everybody is angry and reactionary in this country because they get abused, shat on and treated like animals by their employers five days a week. or should i say potential slave traders.
