I have a nice little JVC CD/fm radio micro system but it doesn't have DAB. I did buy a DAB adaptor but it was pretty rubbish really. I am thinking of getting a DAB/fm player that can also play CDs. I know I could just dock an ipod but I have lots of CDs and don't want to render them obsolete. Has anyone got any ideas of any decent ones? Not too worried about the budget.

Are you looking for a portable system with built in speakers, or more of a system similar to your micro?

Hello Togo - I`m looking for something that can sit on a chest of drawers in the living room

This is a nice system. I have a similar one.
I would ask why?

Theoretically the audio quality of DAB is worse than that of fm stereo.

So unless there is a station not available to you on fm, or some other function you want offered by DAB – my advice is to save your money until fm radio is finally switched off.
There is a very popular station that plays good rock and pop tunes Hymie, that is only on DAB. A lot of people are tuning into it.

"I would ask why" Because I sick to death of modern girlie singers on Heart/Jackie/R2 etc and I want to be able to listen to my Absolute Radio 70s/80s in the living room which I can't do at the moment because they are DAB
That was the station I meant, Absolute. I was a bit under pressure when I answered, and had no time to think. Massive w10 upgrade was running and I had to allow a re-start with minutes to spare. All looks brilliant. Gawd the keyboard is responsive with no lag.
