Quite good as a Stephen King product but some laughable "dramatic" moments - the young girl panicking when shes going to fall - her feet were about 4 feet off the floor. Leaping across a dangerous chasm - must have been 2 feet wide to start with - Barbie gets bruises in every episode more or less - come on Mr Spielberg or has the effects budget run out.

It is a bit silly but I'm quite intrigued as to where they are going with it! I used to read quite a bit of Stephen King when I was younger and was quite surprised when I saw he had written the original story! As long as no freaky evil crowns appear haha!

i`m surprised Big Jim is still with us - whats his body count now 9 I believe.
The book was quite a good read - the first series was loosely based around it - and Stephen King wrote the first episode of the second series. It has now gone way beyond anything he wrote and, imho, is getting rather silly and boring.
I'm still watching but it is getting dafter and dafter, I would say what was Marg Helgenberger (sp?) thinking but then I remembered The Tommyknockers TV adaptation that she did, also Stephen King, which was absolutely awful!

I'm not sorry one of them, who annoyed me, has gone though.

I don't mind the stories round it as much to do with people coping but the whole freaky pods and gross gel they keep wiping on each other is just daft! Still interested to see where they go with it though!

I do wish they would remove the sliced cow from the beginning!

don't be surprised if he/she makes an inexplicable return

That is very true, nothing would surprise me!

i`m working on the book - as far as the series goes there is something quirkily compelling about it that makes me want to carry on watching - maybe its an old age thing. Stephen Kings books dont seem to translate well to TV or films the Stand was a very good book the miniseries oddly interesting. My fave is Langoliers featured every cliche known to movie makers but I liked it all the same.
