"The U.S. has stepped up its attacks on Islamic State’s industrial base, striking more than 100 tanker trucks used to transport oil that helps the militant group earn tens of millions of dollars each month...It was the first time the U.S. military has conducted a strike on vehicles used to transport oil...Tribal leaders from Deir Ezzour have in the past said these fuel tankers are crucial for Islamic State’s oil smuggling operation and that they often passed by a road junction in the city controlled by Syrian regime forces on their way to the Turkish border. These leaders said the regime never targeted these convoys, suggesting it was benefiting from the smuggling or buying oil from Islamic State."

"I also showed our colleagues satellite images and aerial photographs that show very clearly the scale of this illegal trade in oil and petroleum products. You see columns of refuelling vehicles stretching for dozens of kilometres in lines so long that from a height of 4,000–5,000 metres they vanish over the horizon. It really looks more like an oil pipeline system."

Turkey(where the oil was headed), NATO member, potential EU Member; Daesh main supply line Jarablus-Efrin still untouched and that was where ISIS Czar General John Alan (and others) wanted the no-fly safe area to be

If that is where it was heading I feel sure that the Turkish authorities will be publishing an explanation soon. Pity they didn't have the photos in the article.
Kremlin troll alert
Is the oil transported in those tankers already refined? If it is why haven't the refineries under ISIS control been reduced to piles of scap?
Question Author
I do not know if it is refined or unrefined sandy, or if that knowledge would have made any difference to conveniently turning a blind eye.

Hello ichkeria, I would again refute your assertion, but I fear the word lie means something different to you e.g.

ichkeria >
"Oh yes and where do you get the idea that I am a 'Moslem convert (!!)
Not that I am particularly bothered . In the face of diesel's ranting and raving it is hardly as loony as it might otherwise sound :-) "

//Oh yes and where do you get the idea that I am a 'Moslem convert //

"You told me. You converted in order to marry your wife. Remember? "

ichkeria >
"Yes I remember telling you that come to think of it but I think I was taking advantage of the fact that you seemed quite easy to wind up ;-) "

Germany now enters the fray today;
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35002733
I note with interest (but no surprise), that Russia, the alleged arch enemy of IS, has criticised British involvement in the bombing campaign ...
.

in 2003 Bush and his VP Cheney was very keen on invading Iraq
and plan A was that once the air force had flattened it, Cheney's construction firms would rebuild it all - paid for by Iraqi oil

even the European leaders commented no one is Europe woud be allowed to do that ....only in America

so kremlin troll alert or no - nothing surprises me
Question Author
I am not sure what German entry in anti-ISIS conflict in Syria has to do with complicity with ISIS.

Perhaps you could provide a Link to this Russian criticism of current British bombing campaign ichkeria as I have not been able to any ?

Peter-P, hard to determine what any powers plans are from the meagre truthful info that escapes their clutches.
