If so, have a look and listen to this brilliant song by Ringo, on his latest album.

It incorporates titles of lots of Beatles' songs. It is really cleverly composed.

To be honest Tilly I was never really a big tan of the Beatles, much prefered The stones or The Who.
yes i'm a fan but i wish ringo would stick to the drums xx
Question Author
Paddy, you've been tangoed!

I liked The Who, too. The Stones didn't do much for me. Couldn't stand Mick Jagger and all his flaunting.
Question Author
Mallyh, have you listened to the song? It's brilliantly written but I agree that Ringo is not the best singer in the world.
Nice song :o)
Question Author
Clever song, Panky.
Well spotted Tilly,i had to look twice to see what you meant and I typed it.
His vocals are not great are they. I wonder if he is going to claim he is the author or will he have to credit Lennon/McCartney
yes i started to listen but his voice grates on me so i admit i didn't get to the end xx
Question Author
The tune reminds me slightly of 'Should I stay or should I go.' by The Clash

I know I keep saying this but I think it's just so well written.

I also know that Ringo can't sing as well as George, Paul or John did, and can.
You haven't heard Barclay James Harvest's 'Titles' then? A song with lyrics dedicated to Beatles songs, a wonderful track, I play it regularly at my Flashback Oldies gig on a Friday night. The Ringo track is OK, nice idea but BJH's 'Titles' from the 70's is awesome, give it a listen.

Very good I liked that, I lost count of Beatles titles and lyrics.
I read the other day that when the Stones released their album Aftermath, Ringo said the next Beatles one should be called After Geography.

I thought that was clever.

I love that Barclay James Harvest track. Thank you so much, Northern popquiz and Mamya. I have never heard that before. It put's Ringo's effort in the shade, doesn't it?
It is good isn't it.
Question Author
I have just been listening to some more BJH. I'd forgotten how good they were/are.
"I also know that Ringo can't sing as well as George, Paul or John did, and can. "

that is an understatement of epic proportion !...he cant sing full stop...even on that track hes had to be heavily processed...hes one of the luckiest people alive, Beatles drummer, thing is they still would have been as famous with any other drummer !
Question Author
What was the name of the person he replaced, Baz? I can't think of it.
Pete Best.
