I like Perry Como. (His 'Catch a Falling Star' was the first non-nursery song I ever became aware of when I still a toddler). However 'For the Good Times' is a bit too 'slushy' for me, irrespective of who sings it.
It's quite a few years since I heard that. It still brings back memories of my early childhood. I remember asking my mother loads of questions about whether stars could actually fall and whether it would be possible to catch them. (Well, I was only about three or four years old. I'd not really got to grips with the finer points of astrophysics at that age!)
If you restrict your listening solely to music with English lyrics, you'll be missing out on a great deal, MC!
Not many people around here understand Gaelic (and I certainly don't) but the beautiful Capercaillie track in my first video above deserves a place in everyone's music library.
I don't understand Urdu either, but this is stunning!
