I like Perry Como. (His 'Catch a Falling Star' was the first non-nursery song I ever became aware of when I still a toddler). However 'For the Good Times' is a bit too 'slushy' for me, irrespective of who sings it.

Let's have something really restful for bedtime:

Thank you, Jordy.

It's quite a few years since I heard that. It still brings back memories of my early childhood. I remember asking my mother loads of questions about whether stars could actually fall and whether it would be possible to catch them. (Well, I was only about three or four years old. I'd not really got to grips with the finer points of astrophysics at that age!)

Why aren't you over on Mamya's thread? ;)

^^^ We're far more selective about our music here, Bathsheba ;-)

This is relaxing:

Relaxing if you understand French! Perry wins.
If you restrict your listening solely to music with English lyrics, you'll be missing out on a great deal, MC!

Not many people around here understand Gaelic (and I certainly don't) but the beautiful Capercaillie track in my first video above deserves a place in everyone's music library.

I don't understand Urdu either, but this is stunning!

I have no restrictions with language.

It's the music that does it for me.
That one doesn't 'grab' me, MC (and someone should shoot the director of that video!).

Let's try some German:

Rubbish Buen. Nothing catchy about that at all.
Oh, you want 'catchy'.

How about some Nortec Collective (from Mexico)?

German? Try this.

Sorry to hijack Jordy.
That track reminds me of a bar in Mainz:

Strange bar, strange people, very strange music!

I thought that you wanted 'catchy'; I can't really see how that qualifies.

Let's get back to English and try some American country music. It's as about as 'catchy' as it's possible to get!

or, if you don't like country music, how about some Americana?

That's cheap Rock 'n' Roll. Try this for 'catchy' country.
