I am not a big fan of either artist, or the song, so it doesn't tick any boxes for me.

I agree,Baz. I like this arrangement even more than the original. A great singer, very much missed.

Randy Brecker (top Jazz trumpeter) played on some sessions. It could be him on this.
I like the record but it's ca. 25 years old. Have you just recently heard it?
Sorry Bazile each to their own, but this really grates on me, never been a fan of RP and this song just underlines that.

I've heard it been played regularily on Smooth Radio , over the last year or so .

Silly as it may sound , i really dont know if i have heard it before then ( i must have heard the Marvin Gaye version )

For example , I dont get what all the fuss is about Paul McCartney or the beatles music
Great song, but no one can beat the Marvin Gaye ( original ) version imo.
