I noticed them piled high in Tescos the last time I was in. Not tins any more but plastic and they seem to be smaller than they once were.
I know I'll get two as presents soon and I don't eat sweets. If I can't manage to pass them on they'll sit 'til they moulder.
They seem to vary week on week mybutty the last good offer was Morrisons where they were 2 for £7 but this is finished now, google various outlets or keep eyes on press ads!
Does anyone know why we feel the need to buy all this stuff at Christmas yet never buy any at any other time of the year?

We will buy at least 2 of the 3 you mention and as usual the crap ones will still be there in febuary/march.

-Talbot-: Another perfect example - Cadbury's creme eggs. Now I'm no sheep so I can eat them all year round! They seem to sell millions of them at easter and after that more or less none. I like chocolate santa's in June as well (about the time they start putting them on sale for Christmas)...
I don't buy them. I'm a right meany. My dad supplied all the sweets in our house.

I just get overruled or ignored :0(
There was a young woman, a teacher, advertised on Freecycle for tins for a school project. I got in touch with her and when preparing the tins for her to call and collect saw there were 2 not even opened.
-Talbot-: People buy them at Christmas because they are on offer. If they weren't then I bet a lot of people wouldn't even notice them on the isles.
I've never even bought my kids an Easter egg....
I just get my mate to get easter eggs discounted. I bought 30 easter eggs for £3 last year, I ate them all to myself. Now that's what I call a diet.
I'd be sick.
( discounted ) fell of the back of a lorry discounted ?
Or mate works in a supermarket 'discounted'
anneasquith: How very dare you? I'm a law abiding citizen I shall have thee know.
Ummmm: Spot on :)
and the Cadburys Heroes are *** now... full of eclairs!!
***..... why are these words blanked out??
'tis because it's considered as swearing. I use that word all the time and most people couldn't give a c***.
£5 in sains this morning
Bought one earlier this week for £5 (Quality Street). Weight 780 g. Looked at an old empty tin I bought 2 years ago - weight 1.4 kg. That's almost 50% less for the same price.
