strat trmrlo arm

Hi,
i have twoa strat squires, and they have different whammy bars/tremelo arms.
one is very close to the body, and the other stands of about 40mm ( at the point of leaving the thread on the tremelo unit) I find the closer one perhaps a bit too close, and the other much too far (as i loop my little finger around the arm). which is the correct arm do you think?

adjust it to fit as it can be wound either further in or out

^ I agree, take the longer of the two and hacksaw/file bits off until it reaches the length you like. (I love Strats!)

...I have a Strat body that I renovated hanging on my wall awaiting a new neck, can't wait to get it up and running.
